The new CD
"It's About Time"
Now Available

Welcome to the new Mocking Larry website.

July 26th, 2003...
The day started off partly cloudy. Looking as though it would rain… and so it did. At around 1:30pm it began to sprinkle, then it down poured at around 3:00 and didn’t let up until around 4:00. All the bands lent a hand and moved the stage into the barn. Then the fun began. Mocking Larry hit the stage at Wookstock “5” at about 9:30pm and rocked the barn until about 11pm.We had a great time! We thought the rain would scare all you newcomers to Wookstock away… but alas you kept coming. (We never worry about those of you who’ve been coming for the past four years. Storms won’t keep you away!) It was a great turnout! No one knew it had rained here! Bonus! Kudos go out to the other bands for making it happen and keeping Wookstock alive!! Very special thanks go out to our friends in Illusion and Taste Like Chicken.
Mocking Larry wants to thank all of you who came out to support us with the purchase of our new CD “It’s About Time”. We hope you all enjoyed the show and now are enjoying our new CD. When we say: “It’s about time”, we mean it!
It’s been a long road to get this CD out and finished. With everything we went though…from band members moving on to greener pastures to equipment breaking down, it’s been pretty taxing on the band. We’re extremely happy that we’ve gotten such great feed back from those of you who now own the CD.
It seems our fan base is continually growing. Mocking Larry has gone worldwide!!! We’ve sold CD’s and have many fans building in London England!!! One of our fans in London is actually learning our song “Long Road” for his band to play! Wow, another band playing a Mocking Larry song… How cool is that!?! I can’t wait to hear the recording of our American made Mocking Larry song being performed by a band in England… Sweeet!! Let’s not forget our fans in the DC area, in California and in Canada. All this without any airplay!! Seems the next stop is… the radio!
Until the next entry… Keep Mocking Larry!!!

July 18th...
Wookie, Jumbo and I, along with help from JP, Jeff, (from Illusion) and Christine went to the site of WOOKSTOCK to put the stage together. Man thats a lot of work.
Wookie talked to the CD makers and we should have the CD's tomorow. We can't wait.

July 8th...

We just got back from a little R & R trip we take every year. I'm not sure how much rest we got. Chris, Skip, and I went camping with a bunch of friends like we do every Fourth of July weekend. We met some really cool people. We also met up with some old friends from last year, including a crazy group of Canadians who really know how to throw a party. Skip and I almost got beat up (not by the Canadians). Park security wanted to throw us out every night for being too loud. The last night we played our acoustic guitars for a crap load of people. Some guy named Rodney came over with a hand drum and jammed with us. He was great-thanks Rodney. Everybody was singing and partying. A good time and a lot of beer was had by all. Thanks to Amy, Andrea, Stacey, Armen, Doug, "Uncle George", and everyone else for letting us play a little for them...

June 30th...
Well, we did the gig at the Berkley Front and I think it was a big success. I mean we hadn't rehearsed together in five months and Dave was out of town. But it went well. A big Thanks to the ILLUSION band for having us and as usual, putting on a rockin' show.
The band starts rehearsals for
WOOKSTOCK tonight. Wish us luck...

June 26th...
We got a call from our freinds with the ILLUSION band. It seems they had a band drop out for a show they are doing Saturday. So of course, they call us.
J.P. said all we would have to do is fill a half hour. So, it looks like we got a gig. It should be a good warm up for the big WOOKSTOCK show. The only problem is Dave is out of town this weekend. We've decided to do the gig semi acoustic. It's at The Berkley Front in Berkley duh! I've got directions on the SHOWS page. Hope to see ya there...

June 21st...
Amall's putting some final touches on the music. Skip is finishing up the artwork for the CD. I'm going to a 96th birthday party (holy crap that's old).

Hope to be done with everything by Monday so the whole project can get to diskmakers and be back in time for the Big WOOKSTOCK party on July 26th. If not, we'll be in deep shit.
